May 2014 has been a lot of firsts!
We started our 9th month traveling.
On Saturday 5/17 we were in West Virginia, where we took our first chair lift ride (sorry no snow), we went to our first wedding and saw a deer. We also met Nana, and a lot of our Peters family.
And Maddie started to crawl.
And Maddie started to crawl.
On Sunday we drove to MD to meet Joan and have our first ice cream at Susan's shop.
On Sunday we went to DE for our first trip to Rehoboth Beach with Gemma and Daddad! We put our toes in the Atlantic Ocean, we rode the boats at Funland and got to go on a real boat. We met our Waples cousins (our favorite is Kaia who played with us, blew bubbles and she even dressed liked us!)
We also went to our Grand's Memorial Service. We did get to meet her and we know Mommy is very happy for that. We heard our first bag piper, he piped us up to the beach and back after the service - Daddy and Uncle Andrew carried us, so we had the best view.
We loved the whole
trip but we are happy to be home.
**Note from Mom, The girls did exceptionally well on the 12 hour drive to WV, the 6 hour drive to DE and then the 7.5 hour drive home! They were still their happy selves and enjoyed chattering, playing with toys and listening to a lot of nursery rhymes.
